My name is Janine and I’m the voice behind this blog. I currently live and work in Vancouver. When I’m not busy with work, I love spending my free time baking, cooking, and ‘photo-shooting’. (haha, total newbie when it comes to photography/ editing, still learning!)
I initially decided to start this blog a few years back as a means to express and share my passion for food, baking, and cookie art – it was basically my creative outlet. If you hadn’t noticed, I’m actually a relatively shy and quiet person. lol Can you tell through my writing? My initial thoughts were that a blog would be a good way to ‘anonymously’ share my passion with the world. I thought of myself as just this anonymous quiet person behind this blog.
However, after blogging for these past few years, I’ve learned that blogging is more than just posting content – it is actually its own online community. This has not only fueled my confidence in ‘speaking up’, but also in how I’ve come to view myself, my blog, and this whole online community. I love connecting with other bloggers – reading and seeing what they have posted, but more importantly, getting to know the person or voice behind the blog.
