Don’t remember if I had mentioned it before, but we had gotten this fairly powerful blender not too long ago. Its called the Blendtec and I guess you can say its similar to the very popular Vitamix. Super powerful and will pulverize anything… I mean, you can even make soups in this thing! Crazy talk. I actually love making smoothies in this blender – its so powerful that it’ll pulverize whole vegetables to nothing… you’d never even know there were veggies inside!

Depending on what kinds of fruits we have, I usually like to experiment with different blends of fruits and veggies. This one seems to be a winner – you can’t even taste the vegetables! For some extra nutrition, feel free to also add in a spoon of chia seeds (let it sit in the liquid for at least 5 minutes before blending to soften them up) – you won’t even know that there are extra nutrients hidden in a smooth, sweet blend of green goodness!

Green Juice

  • Servings: 3 Cups
  • Time: 5 mins
  • Difficulty: easy

  • 1/2 orange
  • 2 1/2 C water
  • Cucumber, chunk about 2-3 inches long
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • handful of frozen strawberries
  • handful of frozen mangos
  • 3 C of fresh spinach
  1. Put everything into your favourite blender and blend away until it becomes a delicious green smoothie.
