Need to transport some cupcakes?
Here’s a super easy way to safely transport individual cupcakes!
We’ve all been there before… you have some cupcakes that you need to get safely from point A to point B, but there aren’t enough to fill a big cupcake carrier… what do you do? Risk smudging all the pretty frosting all over the side of a deep container? Yeah… you could try packing them closely together in a deep container so that they won’t move and smudge as much… or… you could make this super easy and cute cupcake carrier!
Supplies you’ll need:
- small-med disposable plastic drink cup lid (mine was from McD’s)
- plastic cup large enough to fit over your cupcake
- treat bag + twist tie
First, position the drink lid flat inside the treat bag. Once in place, carefully roll down the sides of the treat bag as far down as you can to prevent any icing from smudging. Next, very carefully place the cupcake onto the drink lid, taking care not to touch the sides of the bag. Place the plastic cup overtop of the cupcake (check to make sure the cup is large enough to fit over the cupcake before starting all of this). Lastly, bring the sides of the bag back up, and secure with a twist-tie.
And voila, you have made your very own cupcake carrier! Not gonna lie, when I was trying to figure out a solution and finally came up with this, I was super excited… #bakingnerd.
