Happy Easter long-weekend everyone!

Weather has been gorgeous, I hope you all had a chance to enjoy the sunshine!

Cake on a stick.

Genius.

I had some leftover nutella buttercream and didn’t know what else to do with such a small amount. Cakepops and cakeballs were perfect – they don’t require much icing because the cake is already moist.

  • 1 pkg chocolate cake mix
  • 2/3 C nutella buttercream

Here’s the gist of what I did. For more detailed instructions, visit Bakerella’s amazing site.

  1. Bake cake as directed.
  2. Once cool, crumble cake and mix with icing.
  3. Shape into balls, insert a lollipop stick, then coat with chocolate.

They are so yummy and make great treats to give away.

Plus, the lollipop stick makes them both practical and fun! =D

Hope you all enjoyed this more recent ‘surprise post’. I’ve written quite a few older recipe posts that will continue to be released every few days, but I’ll do my best to throw in more recent ‘surprise’ posts, between the old recipes. Have a great weekend!
